A shipment of galvanized coils from Shandong Shouyuan Steel Co., Ltd. recently departed from the Port of Qingdao, bound for the Port of Manila, Philippines. These products will be used in local sectors including architectural roofing, home appliance manufacturing, and light industrial goods.

The Philippines is a key destination for Chinese steel exports in Southeast Asia. Although the ASEAN market faces pressure from local rolling capacity substitution, there remains steady import demand for high-end coated products, such as galvanized sheets. A research report by CSC Financial indicates that flat steel products remain the primary category for exports; the average export price has risen slightly month-on-month, and a rebalancing of product types and destinations is underway.
